Anna Dressed in Blood

Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna, #1)

Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It feels so separate, like I’ve touched something that’s taken the color out of me.

Anna dressed in blood is about Cas, a ghost hunter. He targets challenging ghosts to kill as practice in hopes that someday he will find and end the ghost who murdered his father. And Cas was hoping that Anna will be his last practice. However, Anna is beyond any ghost he has encountered.

Even with its very well-written narrative, Anna Dressed in Blood lacks something that will make it stand out from the rest. The events in the book are somewhat expected – typical things that happen in a horror story. I feel like romance was forced to be in the book.  Also, the ending of the book is a bit rushed. So many things are condensed in the ending part.

However, if you are simply looking for something scary… this book is a great read. The author was able to describe details really well to the point that I can almost see Anna Dressed in Blood in front of me. The images will float in your head long after reading the book.
